ITS UK has announced that its next Enforcement Forum session will take place on Tuesday 6 August from 2-3pm.
The online session will offer attendees the chance to hear an update from Home Office officials regarding the Government’s review of the Home Office Type Approval (HOTA) process for enforcement technology.
In January, following an advocacy campaign by industry to reform the process, the Home Office held a Call for Evidence to review HOTA. The Call for Evidence, which published its findings in April, seeks to inform a programme of work to ‘review current approaches and implement a more cost-effective and resilient operating model that fosters innovation and delivers robust assurance of equipment.’
The Call for Evidence summary document can be found here. More about ITS UK’s ‘Let’s Get HOTA Working’ campaign, which gives background on concerns the industry has had with the process, can be found here.
