The Government’s Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce has outlined 21 key proposals to accelerate the electric transition. 

The task force has identified 21 proposals to maximise the benefits and minimise the challenges associated with electric vehicles to the electricity networks and EV users. 

The group will now focus on turning these proposals into action, which will be implemented through four themed working groups, the proposals include: 

The government-backed initiative was established in 2018 with an aim is to bring together all of the key organisations who will play a key roll in the electric vehicle transition.

The proposals include; supporting the delivery of resilient charging infrastructure, enabling smrt charging by stablishing minimum technical requirements, giving consumers controlof their data, coordination of the industry’s consumer-fscing information about EVs, smart charging and othr services and supporting the delivery of high-quality public charging by specifying UK-wide best practice for charge point and infrastructure planning.
