Navtech Radar launches ClearWay Lite fast-deploy radar solution at ITS World Congress 2025

Navtech Radar has debuted its new ClearWay Lite at this year’s ITS World Congress in Atlanta. Designed specifically for quick deployment in safety-critical areas, ClearWay Lite brings the power of Navtech’s proven 360° radar-based AID technology to incident hotspots.

Building on the success of the flagship ClearWay system, ClearWay Lite delivers the same high performance used to monitor across long stretches for road.

ClearWay Lite introduces automated camera control as a core feature, integrating seamlessly with standard cameras to provide operators with immediate visual context, when radar detects an incident. The system supports up to two 360°
radar units, together capable of monitoring over half a mile of highway, including hard shoulders, ramps, and emergency bays.

This compact solution enables detection of:

• Wrong-way drivers
• Stopped or slow-moving vehicles
• Queuing traffic
• Vehicle counts and traffic flow data

Navtech’s patented radar technology operates in poor weather and all lighting conditions, from glare to complete darkness. With a 360° field of view and continuous detection across all lanes, ClearWay Lite ensures operators are alerted to incidents
in real time—helping prevent collisions and keep traffic moving.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do,” said Louise Early, Commercial Director/VP at Navtech Radar. “ClearWay Lite is a direct response to customer feedback – bringing our trusted radar technology to areas with quick deployment and
minimal infrastructure.”

Navtech continues to expand its partner network across the US and Europe. At the Atlanta event, the company will host a collaboration reception with U.S. partners including Advanced Government Services, Clark Transportation Solutions, D2 Traffic Technologies, Traffic Systems & Technology and Utilicom, celebrating shared success in deploying intelligent transport solutions across North America.

ITS World Congress attendees are invited to visit Navtech at the UK-Europe Pavilion to experience real-world footage from US trial sites. See how ClearWay detects incidents like off-ramp queues spilling onto mainlines or vehicles stopped in live lanes – demonstrating the system’s power to support operators and enhance road safety. Navtech’s ITS Product Manager, Kieren Marsh, will also be presenting on the UK-Europe Pavillion stand at 10:30 on Wednesday 27.
