A new approach to enabling transport projects in West Yorkshire to move forward is to be discussed this week by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The Bradford Strategic Transport Model is a £700,000 scheme that will be used to plot future works to the District’s infrastructure.
The model will be used to develop and appraise various different transport schemes in the area, develop government funding bids and for assessing development options associated with the Bradford Local Plan.
It is expected the scheme will “deliver an updated multi-modal transport model for Bradford which reflects Department for Transport, Transport Analysis Guidance best practice guidance. The scheme will indirectly contribute to delivering a number of projects in Bradford.” These will include several key transport schemes.
Funding for the scheme will be split between Bradford Council and the Combined Authority.
