Scott Dale appointed National Highways’ Chief Financial Officer

After initially stepping into the role on an interim basis in March, Scott Dale has been confirmed as National Highways’ new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following a robust selection process, replacing predecessor, Vanessa Howlison.

The role of CFO includes being a member of the National Highways Board and Executive.

Scott brings a wealth of experience to the position having held senior roles at Deloitte and Accenture. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a degree in Economics.

Speaking about the appointment, National Highways Chief Executive Nick Harris, said:

“Scott is no stranger to what the role requires having been interim CFO and a temporary Board member since March. He is a highly experienced finance professional, and I would like to thank him for all his hard work as our interim CFO and Board member.

“I am now looking forward to continuing our work as we build on our strong track record of delivering efficiency and improvements in National Highways.”

Following confirmation of his permanent appointment, Scott said:

“I am very proud to take on the role and look forward to playing my part in our purpose of connecting the country, as a member of the Executive and the Board. We have massive capability to support and realise that purpose and I see great opportunity to keep building on our strong financial and operational foundation. This is key while strengthening our adaptability to become a value for money service provider.”
