Towards Zero: Smart Data, Safer Roads – Last few places for TRL’s road safety event

TRL’s Smart Mobility Living Lab in London on Tuesday 16 September 2025 is on the verge of being full and the organisers are recommending booking now to avoid disappointment.

Bringing together leading experts in road safety, data science, and healthcare the event will explore how smarter use of data can move us closer to Vision Zero, the ambition to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on our roads.

The half-day conference, Towards Zero: Smart Data, Safer Roads, will showcase pioneering initiatives that are reshaping how road safety challenges are understood and tackled.

Speakers from TRL, Imperial College London, University Hospital Southampton, and other leading organisations will present the latest thinking and innovation in data-led safety interventions, including:

  • PRANA – the world’s first project combining health and collision data to improve road safety.
  • RAIDS – the UK’s in-depth collision investigation programme, delivered by TRL on behalf of the Department for Transport.
  • Additional cutting-edge projects demonstrating the power of data to unlock new approaches to safer roads.

The event will open with a buffet lunch at 13:00, followed by expert presentations, interactive discussions, and live demonstrations. Proceedings will conclude with networking drinks and further road safety showcases.
