Essex-based Triplex Traffic Management have had £6000 worth of equipment stolen last weekend.
In a LinkedIn post seen by Highways News, Head of Business Development Dale Chenery said:
“We have had a whole setup stolen from Milton Keynes between 1600 Fri 13 February-0900 Mon 16 February .
I have not put this on until we had confirmation from another TM companies working close by that they had collected by mistake.
“Thanks to Adam Smith MIHE at Highway Safety Management Ltd and his team for taking time to check with depots and vehicle this wasn’t collected by them by mistake. I am reaching out to all connections to assist in the recovery of this.
“Businesses work hard to be able to reinvest in equipment and plant and to have this stolen this is disgusting. I am so angry and I will not rest until I find the lovely people who have helped themselves to our equipment. If anyone has any info on this please message me privately under the utmost confidence that this will be kept private and information leading to this being retrieved will receive a reward.
The police will be notified… and I will be passing on the name that has been repeated three times by different people. If it is you put it back where it was taken.”
In a further post, he added:
“I am shocked at the amount of people that have privately messaged me telling me how they have had equipment stolen. This seems to be common occurrence and I am feeling that [it is] accepted as part of the industry we are in.”
