A92 safety works get underway

Overnight road safety improvements are underway on the A92 in Fife from Cowdenbeath to Lochgelly which will mean some overnight closures until February.

The works by Amey will deliver new vehicle safety barriers on the eastbound and westbound verges, along with upgraded signage.

Work will take place on both carriageways from before the A92 westbound off slip to Cowdenbeath to after the A92 westbound on slip from Lochgelly.

The £400,000 project, which Amey is delivering on behalf of Transport Scotland, is designed to improve safety for the more than 51,000 vehicles who use this route each day.
