Applications open for fully funded Start-Up Zone places at the LCRIG Innovation & Learning Festival 2025

The Local Council Roads Innovation Group has announced that applications for the Start-Up Zone at the LCRIG Innovation and Learning Festival 2025 are now open.

This initiative offers fully funded places for eligible small and emerging businesses, providing a platform to showcase innovative solutions and breakthrough technologies.

“The Start-Up Zone is a reflection of LCRIG’s commitment as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to give back to the highways community and drive innovation at every level. This initiative opens doors for small businesses and entrepreneurs, empowering them to bring fresh ideas to the forefront while connecting with key decision makers in the industry.” said Kerry Winstanley, Finance & Operations Director at LCRIG.

The Start-Up Zone offers an opportunity for qualifying small businesses to gain visibility and make valuable connections. LCRIG says successful applicants will benefit from:

  • Promotional Support: Inclusion in event literature and promotional activities to enhance visibility.
  • Community Access: Exclusive access to the event’s attendee list.
  • Networking Opportunities: Meet senior decision-makers, representatives from local authorities, the Department for Transport (DfT), and National Highways during the festival, at the DfT Special Recognition Apprentice Awards, and the evening networking event.

To qualify for a place in the Start-Up Zone, applicants must:
