Applications open to join the UK Pavilion at ITS European Congress

Small and medium enterprises are being offered the chance to attend Europe’s leading Intelligent Transport Systems event in May 2025, as leading supporters of UK transport technology are partnering again to deliver opportunities for organisations to exhibit as part of the UK Pavilion.

After 12 SMEs participated on the UK Pavilion at the ITS World Congress in Dubai last September, and 2023’s European Congress in Lisbon, companies can now sign up to take part at the next ITS European Congress in the Spanish city of Seville from 19-21 May.  This is thanks to the Transport Technology Forum and Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG), supported by the Department for Transport, Innovate UK and ITS UK.

From just £2,500, participants on the Pavilion can have a space to showcase their innovations in road transport technology on an international stage. As well as an individual pod space, they will enjoy high-profile branding, inclusion in marketing material and on-stand videos, as well as exhibition passes and invitations to any delegation receptions.

There will also be the opportunity to make connections and network with peers from across the world, find potential business partners and meet industry experts. Organisers will facilitate introductions with key stakeholders for the participants exhibiting on the UK Pavilion throughout the duration of the Congress.

Companies will also get the chance to boost their brand to spend a little more and sponsor a  UK Pavilion Reception.  All the packages are priced at a reduced cost thanks to funding support for the pavilion from the Department for Transport and Innovate UK.

Participants will gain branding and publicity from the moment they sign up, with podcasts from the UK-focussed news website Highways News featuring UK Pavilion exhibitors before and during the event.  As well as having the opportunity to promote their brand, participants get to experience leading smart mobility solutions and may also take part in the conference giving them an opportunity to learn about the latest ITS technologies and implementations.  The Congress is expecting more than 5,000 visitors, alongside more than a hundred exhibitors.

“The feedback we have had from SMEs working with us in Lisbon and Dubai has been extremely positive, proving we’re helping make a real difference in promoting UK ITS solutions to an international audience,” commented LCRIG Finance & Operations Director, Kerry Winstanley.  “This opportunity not only gives companies a very cost-effective way of being involved in the European Congress, but provides them with the credibility of being alongside globally-respected organisations like the Department for Transport and Transport Technology Forum.”

Members of the Department for Transport, LCRIG and Innovate UK will also be participating on the UK Pavilion.
