Argyll and Bute Council has launched an app to support walking and cycling in its Mid Argyll area.
Features include over 50 points of interest, links to local visitor information sources, and over 30 ‘eye spy’ games and challenges.
Named Discover Dalriada Mid Argyll, it provides details of seven self-guided trails, with maps and detailed route descriptions to help users decide if they are suitable. They include routes around waterfronts and past prehistoric sites.
The council’s lead for economic development, Cllr Robin Currie, said: “Discover Dalriada Mid Argyll is the latest in a series of active travel apps that the council has developed thanks to funding from Transport Scotland’s Smarter Choices Smarter Places. The app has lots of useful features and further enhances the area’s appeal as a fantastic place to explore while encouraging people to get out and about and be more active.
“Argyll and Bute is a great visitor destination and we remain committed to promoting it far and wide. Existing apps are also available for Campbeltown, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Rothesay and Oban.”
