ADEPT’s £30m Live Labs 2 programme, funded by the Department for Transport, has announced that 30 local authority-led partnerships from across the UK have submitted bids.
Applicants to the programme will shortly find out if they are to go through to the next stage, where they will pitch their ideas to a panel of industry experts in a Dragon’s Den event on the 4th November.
Live Labs 2, which aims to decarbonise local roads, is focused on achieving zero carbon infrastructure through the whole road life cycle, from construction through to maintenance and decommissioning. Programme trials are due to begin in March 2023 and will last for three years.
