Blakedale announced as Highways Heroes 2024 Drinks Reception and Award sponsor

Blakedale, the UK’s leading supplier of specialist traffic management vehicles in the UK, has been named as the official Drink Reception sponsor for the 2024 Highways Heroes Awards.

As part of the agreement, the company will also become one of the awards sponsors for the event, which takes place on 28th November at the London Hilton, Park Lane.

The awards will recognise those who have gone above and beyond their duty, to help someone or improve a situation, either in the communities they work in or to unconditionally support fellow workers in their team.

Supported by many of the most forward-thinking organisations in the sector, and set up after a time of unprecedented change not only in our industry, but as part of our everyday lives, the awards are the first time the supply chain and the client body have come together to recognise the value and importance of those unsung heroes we put to work every day.

Whether its saving someone from danger or risk of injury, helping a member of the public to safety, or supporting a team member in the face of abuse the highways heroes’ awards recognise individuals who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise their heroic actions.

Blakedale has been providing motorway maintenance products and services for over 25  years with a team of personable, approachable and experienced staff for each key area of the business. It supplies; Crash Cushion Vehicles (IPV), 3.5t and 7.5t Traffic Management Vehicles as well as a range of other maintenance vehicles and products for hire or purchase. The company is based in the Northwest of England and services the whole of Great Britain and Ireland.

Commenting on Blakedale’s support for the event, Jon Taylor, Managing Director said: “The people that hire, drive and use our vehicles are often put to work next to live traffic or in other difficult circumstances and the fact that they have gone above and beyond to put other people first is something we as a company, wholeheartedly support.”

Kevin Robinson, founder of the Highways Heroes Awards, added: “I want to thank Blakedale, another well-respected industry company, for showing their support for what will be another fantastic night, giving the people we put to work on our road networks and in other roles, the recognition they rightly deserve.”
