One of the country’s leading experts in Intelligent Transport Systems has been added to the list of high profile speakers at next month’s ITS European Congress in Toulouse.
Head of Profession at WSP, Ian Patey, will speak at and moderate a plenary session at the event, traditionally attended by largest audiences at any Congress.
Mr Patey has been working in ITS for nearly 40 years and was the first chair of ITS (UK) to serve a three-year term. The picture shows him (centre) receiving the Rees Hills Award for Outstanding Achievement at last year’s ITS (UK) Awards.
Guilherme Johnston of the Connected Places Catapult will also be a high-level speaker at the event, alongside members of the European Commission and European Parliament, executives from organisations such as Airbus and Google, and leading academics.
The Congress takes place from 30 May to 1 June with the theme “Smart and Sustainable Mobility for All”.
