Small and medium enterprises have enjoyed a a high-profile platform at the huge Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress in Los Angeles thanks to a unique partnership of leading supporters of UK transport technology.
The British Pavilion, hosted by Innovate UK and the Department of International Trade in the US was supported by the Transport Technology Forum, Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) and ITS (UK).
The ten organisations that took part on the stand were AURRIGO, CONIGITAL, DYNAMON, GAIST, ITO WORLD, INNOVATION FACTORY, NICANDER, ONE.NETWORK, VALERANN, WESTCOTEC and ZENZIC.
The event featured a drinks reception and a visit from His Majesty’s Consul General for Los Angeles, Emily Cloke (pictured).
With more than 6,000 industry professionals from 64 countries in attendance, delegates experienced cutting-edge technologies, educational programming, and demonstrations showcased by industry leading organizations.
“We were thrilled to once again bring industry leaders from around the world together to discuss how transportation technology is creating a future that is safer, greener, and smarter for all,” said Laura Chace, President and CEO of ITS America.
Over the course of the week, ITS World Congress hosted more than 180 educational sessions and panels where experts discussed priority issues surrounding the transportation space. Key highlights include opening remarks from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and ITS leaders from the United States, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Additionally, the show featured plenary sessions that focused on safety, equitable mobility, decarbonization, and the importance of digital infrastructure.
The organisers announced that the next time the Congress returns to North America, in 2025, it will be held in Atlanta, Georgia.
