Stephen Tomkins has been appointed as managing director of regional civil engineering specialist, Griffiths.
He will join the Abergavenny-based business from Balfour Beatty where, as operations director, he has led on operational safety, construction and quality, overseeing a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects.
Throughout his 25-year career in civil engineering and construction, Stephen has delivered an extensive variety of high profile and award-winning projects across highways, rail, regeneration, infrastructure and marine sectors. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
Griffiths became part of Tarmac’s Contracting business in 2017, building on the company’s overall civils and highways customer offer.
