Highways and transport solutions provider Clearview Intelligence is hiring new staff members to work on delivering its SolarLite solar road stud product.
The company says this is in response to rising demand thanks to the success of its Live Labs 2 project in the East Riding of Yorkshire, which has successfully shown how solar road studs play a vital role in transforming how we light our roads by allowing councils to safely remove street lighting, cut carbon emissions and make significant cost savings while maintaining road safety.
“We’re seeking two dynamic and results-driven Business Development Managers to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships for our SolarLite active road stud portfolio,” explained Director of Business, England and Wales, Ralph Bates. “They’ll identify and engage with potential clients, and then build and maintain long-term relationships, while working closely with our product development teams to drive the business.”
The company has been buoyed by the success of the SolarLite studs in projects across the country, and by winning the “Dragons’ Den” competition at the last Live Labs 2 Expo. The studs deliver clear guidance in all weather and lighting conditions – unlike traditional reflective studs which only shine when they are illuminated by headlights. The LED lights give drivers more time to react to road layouts, forthcoming junctions, or hazards, and can be seen for up to 900 metres. Independent research has shown they can reduce crash rates by more than 70%.
Of the two positions, one is based in Scotland and the other covers England and Wales. The company is also looking to recruit Business Development Managers for its SolarLite Path (P) stud used on active travel routes and other non-traffic environments.
