Highways and transport solutions provider Clearview Intelligence has won Technology Business of the Year at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards.
Given the number of cutting-edge technology companies based in the city, this is a prestigious prize which was won for the decades of technological innovation from the first automatic traffic counter in the 1970s and first solar road stud in the 80s to the latest journey time information solutions and lidar-based pedestrian and cyclist counting devices.
The judges said they were looking for a company not just at the leading edge of technology development or use, but “setting the pace”, demonstrating genuine technological innovation that is creative and has led to positive growth, transformation, and sustainable success.
The judges were also clearly impressed by Clearview’s focus on providing solutions that reduce the effect of climate change, which run through their business.
“This is a fantastic achievement for Clearview and is a testament to the talent and creativity that runs right across the business,” commented Managing Director Nick Lanigan. “We look forward to continuing to work closely with MK and other cities in developing sustainable solutions to address the challenge they are facing today and in the future.”
This is the second year in a row Clearview has won at these awards, after being recognised as Small and Medium-sized Business of the Year in 2022.
