Core Highways Group has strengthened its position in the UK highways services sector with the appointment of respected industry figures Jenny Moten and Charlie Cornish.
On the operations side, Jenny Moten has joined the company as Regional Managing Director, arriving from Cadent Gas where she was Northwest Network Director – overseeing £2.5bn of assets and 1,100 employees.
Prior to this, Jenny was a Business Director for Amey, leading the delivery of a £2.7bn 25-year PFI for Birmingham City Council. She has also spent 12 years with National Highways where she held the roles of Regional Operations Manager for the Traffic Officer Service, Asset Delivery Manager for Areas 7 and 9 and as a Programme Director, too.
Joining at a strategic level is Charlie Cornish, who has been appointed Group Chairman.
Throughout his career, Mr Cornish has held the roles of Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive, and Group Chief Executive.at a range of businesses including West of Scotland Water, Thames Water, United Utilities, Manchester Airport Group Plc, Plessey Telecommunications, British Aerospace and ABF.
Core Highways is a leading UK provider of temporary traffic management, permanent barrier solutions and associated highways services.
In addition to these two new appointments, Core have promoted Dan East to Win Work Director. Mr East moves into this job from his role as Commercial Director at group company, Amberon Traffic Management. He has been with the business for 17 years having joined as National Sales Manager in 2006.
