The A30 dualling project is on track for completion in just a matter of weeks, National Highways has confirmed. The government organisation behind the major £330 million road scheme said the plan remains to open the dual carriageway in June ahead of the summer season.
Nick Winter, project manager for National Highways, says despite an original plan for the A30 project to be completed by March of 2024, the team is still completely on track to finish in time for its new estimated completion date of next month. The major project was pushed back by three months because of bad weather earlier this year, says Cornwall Live.
Mr Winter was unable to give an exact date for when the new duel carriageway will be fully operational during a conversation with Julie Skentelberry on BBC Radio. But he said it’s looking like work will be rounding up in mid-June or towards the end of the month.
