David O’Neil joins LCRIG Advisory Board

National Highways Supply Chain Director David O’Neil has joined the LCRIG Advisory Board, bringing what the organisation calls “a wealth of expertise that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate” and marking “an exciting new chapter in our partnership with National Highways, a valued LCRIG Partner Member”.

Mr O’Neil joins the Local Council Roads Innovation Group board that includes representatives from the Department for Transport, Local Authority Chairs of the LCRIG Regional Groups, and the Infrastructure Innovation Board.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, David shared: “It is fantastic to be joining LCRIG as an advisory board member. From my engagement with LCRIG over the past few years, I have been particularly taken by the important role they play and how progressive they are as a community.”

“We share the belief that to meet the challenges and opportunities of rising decarbonisation, social, customer and efficiency demands, we need to collaborate to facilitate positive change.

“With shared supply chains at both local and national levels, I’m keen to bring my insights and experience to drive even greater synergy and shared learning. This will benefit suppliers, clients, and the wider sector. My role with LCRIG will help facilitate this journey.”

Paula Claytonsmith, CEO at LCRIG, commented: “We are delighted to have David join our advisory board. His energy, experience, and enthusiasm will be invaluable as we continue to expand our support for members and advance our ambitious growth plans.”

“We look forward to working closely with him as we champion collaboration, innovation, skills development, and decarbonisation in the highways and transport technology sector. Together, we can create meaningful, positive change within the highways community and for all our members.”
