O2 has helped develop a blueprint to help protect the UK’s self-driving cars from cyber-vulnerabilities.
Working with Cisco, WMG at the University of Warwick and Millbrook Proving Ground, the telecoms company has completed the Innovate UK-funded Project BeARCAT looking at the cybersecurity vulnerabilities of connected and autonomous vehicles.
BeARCAT, which stands for Baselining, Automation and Response for CAV Testbed has put forward recommendations to form the basis of a future cybersecurity CAV test facility.
Brendan O’Reilly, CTO at O2 called the project, “A cybersecurity blueprint that will help the UK lead the way when it comes to innovation in the intelligent transportation systems of the future.”
Details of the recommendations will be published in due course.
