The Eastern Highways Alliance has started its search for highways contractors to provide a range of services as part of a £800m highways framework.
Central Bedfordshire Council, on behalf of the Eastern Highways Alliance (a formal collaboration of 11 Local Authorities in the East of England) is seeking to procure a framework of contractors to undertake highway works to cover structural work, surfacing, road works and capital schemes for highways.
Typical schemes may involve, but not exclusively, highway improvements, highway infrastructure works (including bridges, subways, culverts and retaining walls), public realm works (town centre enhancements), drainage improvements, canal works and other infrastructure works such as waste management facilities.
The four-year framework is divided into lots and firms invited to bid include civil engineers and other highways related professional businesses.
