Egis appoints Charlie Hodgson as CEO for Europe and Africa

Egis has appointed Charlie Hodgson as CEO for Europe and Africa. Hodgson will look to expand the firm’s breadth of services by increasing its efforts to disseminate skills, talent and knowledge between the regions and sectors.

His track record of facilitating cross-border collaboration and driving localised innovation will be instrumental in Egis’ efforts to continue unlocking new growth opportunities and strengthening regional partnerships, ensuring Egis remains at the forefront of delivering infrastructure solutions throughout the region.

Bringing over two decades of international experience in transportation, infrastructure, operations and maintenance (O&M), and consulting, he moves into the role having spent almost five years as the Executive Managing Director for a tier one infrastructure consultancy’s transport and infrastructure business.

During this time, Charlie Hodgson was responsible for over 3,000 staff working across the five disciplines in his area of the business, which consist of rail, roads, project, program and construction management (PMCM), civil and intelligent infrastructure.

On his appointment, he said:

“We are on a mission to be recognised as the market leader for technical excellence and employability across the two regions. To achieve this, establishing a network that spans the global business will be key. This will help us to foster the next generation of sector specialists, who have a crucial role to play in delivering exciting projects that support the sustainable futures of the communities that we live in. This is an exciting time to be joining Egis, and I look forward to continuing the rapid growth of the business.”
