A major road will close in both directions for emergency works to be carried out. The A470 is now shut between Maenan (at the site of the Dolgarrog train station) and Tal-y-Cafn in Wales.
Traffic Wales said it is due to emergency works by Dwr Cymru. It comes a week after a major mains burst left 40,000 homes without water.
That burst happened at the Bryn Colwyd works in Dolgarrog – across the Afon Conwy from where these emergency works will now take place, says North Wales Live.
Dwr Cymru said this is a smaller secondary burst that requires part of the A470 to be dug up. They said it will not affect water supplies to customers.
