ERTICO – ITS Europe has announced that current CEO Jacob Bangsgaard will be stepping down at the end of the year when his five-year contract is up.

He’ll be replaced by Joost Vantomme (pictured), who is currently Smart Mobility Director at the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.

The announcement was made at the ITS World Congress in Hamburg.

“I’m thrilled to be here and honoured to succeed to Jacob, which is a very difficult task” Mr Vantomme said, “Very honoured also to lead all the projects we have. We have a unique assets, which is the people and the partners, it’s all of you, people and partners [who] make a difference.”
