The European ITS organisation ERTICO is planning a global survey of 300 cities to find out about their smart mobility challenges, needs and trends.

What they’re calling the ERITCO Moonshot will try to find out views on data sharing, Mobility as a Service and the sustainability needs of the future, particularly with a focus on transport.

ERTICO CEO Jacob Bangsgaard says that by gaining a better understanding of the needs of cities “we can make a real impact in the daily lives of citizens and ensure the creation of a more efficient, more sustainable and safer future mobility system for all.

The plan is for the Moonshot results to be shared at the ITS World Congress in Hamburg next year. It’s looking for public and private sector organisations to take part.
