First JCT Symposium sessions released online

A recordings of presentations from the first session of September’s JCT Traffic Signals Symposium have been uploaded to the event’s YouTube channel.

Six of the seven sessions at the Symposium in Nottingham were filmed thanks to the support of video  4way ConsultingAGD SystemsPTV GroupSensysNetworkssmartmicroStarling Technologies and TRL.

The sessions will be released every Friday for the next seven weeks.  The first sessions to go online are:

  • Enhancing traffic flow strategic approaches for managing congestion – Nick Rule, Yunex Traffic
  • A journey from parking guidance into UTMC – Andrea Newman, SWARCO
  • Why, and how, did the sparrow cross the road – Mark Andrews, HyTras and Jonathan Mundy, Hampshire County Council

After taking place in Nottingham for the last six in-person events, the next JCT Traffic Signals Symposium – the 30th to be held – will be at the Royal Armouries Conference Centre in Leeds from the 23 to 25 September 2025.
