The popular JCT Traffic Signals Symposium is gaining strong financial backing from across the traffic technology sector, with major industry players stepping forward to support the 2026 event’s new format.
Organisers have confirmed a range of new enhancements for this year’s symposium, which will take place at the University of Lincoln on 16–17 September, including expanded accommodation options and a new social event.
After high initial demand, JCT has secured additional high-quality, self-catering on-campus bedrooms, available at a competitive £150 for a two-night stay. These rooms are also included in a popular “Symposium Bundle,” which combines a full two-day conference pass, accommodation, and access to the Networking Event at the Student’s Union Towers Bar on the evening of 16 September. Priced at £495, the limited number of bundles are already selling quickly.
The event’s enhanced offering has been made possible in part by significant sponsorship contributions from leading organisations across the sector. A consortium of YUNEX Traffic, Telent and NAL has come together to sponsor the networking event, while PTV Group is supporting the symposium through sponsorship of the delegate lanyards. SWARCO is backing the event further by sponsoring lunch and refreshments on the second day.
In addition, strong industry support continues for the MOVA Users Group, with contributions from Chris Kennett Consulting, PTV Group, SWARCO, Telent and TRL Software. Thanks to this backing, the MOVA Users Group meeting will once again be free to attend. It will be held on 15 September at the Hilton DoubleTree hotel, adjacent to the university campus.
JCT Director John Nightingale, who leads the organisation of the event said: “The level of sponsorship highlights the sector’s commitment to collaboration, innovation and knowledge-sharing, reinforcing the symposium’s position as a key date in the traffic signals calendar.”
