People in the first decade of their career in Intelligent Transport can take advantage of cheaper places at this year’s ITS (UK) President’s Dinner.
The dinner in Milton Keynes on 13 October, hosted by ITS (UK) President Steve Norris, involves an expanded annual awards ceremony where 11 accolades will be handed out.
The dinner price is £95 per person, but for every full-priced ticket, an Early Careers Professional can come along for £85. ITS (UK) hopes to encourage more young people to attend the formal dinner and get experience of this important aspect of business networking. Tables for ten are available for £850, and half-tables for five are £450.
“2022 is Bring a Buddy Year for ITS (UK), where we encourage Members to bring a “newbie” colleague to our events,” explained ITS (UK) Secretary General Jennie Martin. “By offering cut-price tickets to the awards, we’re putting our money where our mouth is and giving something back. Attending dinners is something that people have to do more in our industry as they get promoted, so I hope that offering that experience to people earlier in their career in the friendly atmosphere of our President’s Dinner is extremely valuable.”
ITS (UK) is welcoming sponsors for the event. A sponsor will get a table for ten and large amounts of promotion for £2,000. Smart Video and Sensing and Clearview Intelligence have already signed up as sponsors.
The Awards and President’s Dinner are part of a busy day of networking for ITS (UK) Members. Before the evening event at the Jury’s Inn hotel, the Connected Places Catapult is hosting the second ITS (UK) Members’ Day, involving a number of demonstrations, presentations and discussions, and a lot of time for people to meet and chat in person. The two venues are less than a quarter of a mile apart.
Hotel rooms are available at the Jury’s Inn for a special offer £105 per room including breakfast (£115 for double-occupancy rooms). Alternative hotels including a Premier Inn and a Travelodge are nearby if attendees would prefer to book direct with them.
The Awards nominations are open now until 25 July. For the categories and entry form please click here.
