The organisers of next year’s ITS World Congress, ERTICO – ITS Europe have revealed the four pillars of transport technology which are the central to the event.

The Congress, from 16-20 September in Dubai, has the theme “Mobility Driven by ITS” will concentrate on Urban Mobility, Innovation in Mobility and Logistics, Clean Mobility and Automated Mobility.

The location of the event rotates between Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific, and this is the first time the European leg has taken place outside of the continent itself.

ERTICO, and its host, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, will showcase the latest technologies adopted by the city of Dubai, together with all the available ITS services and solutions in the region.

“The ITS World Congress comes in light of the massive steps made by Dubai in advancing ITS,” ERTICO says. “Dubai RTA has been implementing various projects in anticipation of the event such as intelligent transport centres, and self-driving transport.”
