The papers from last month’s popular JCT Traffic Signals Symposium have been published on the event’s website to coincide with the opening of delegate bookings for next year’s event at its new home in Leeds.
More than 260 attendees, and over a third of them from the public sector or an industry association, took part in the conference and exhibition in Nottingham, and the papers from 19 sessions are now available for download thanks to the generous agreement from the industry experts who spoke during the learned programme.
After taking place in Nottingham for the last six in-person events, the next JCT Traffic Signals Symposium – the 30th to be held – will be at the Royal Armouries Conference Centre in Leeds from the 23 to 25 September 2025. This picturesque venue overlooks Leeds Dock, and features a beautiful Lecture Theatre alongside a spacious exhibition area. It is well served by good public transport links, an onsite car park and hotels close by. You can find full details and book online now here. The MOVA Users Group will take place at the same venue on the 23rd of September.
The JCT Traffic Signals Symposium is also well known for its excellent networking events, and while the Royal Armouries will host the conference and exhibition, the opening social event on the Tuesday, and the Wednesday evening gala dinner will take place in separate venues nearby.
“We think the separate venues for our social events means we can offer an enhanced experience for delegates and exhibitors,” commented JCT Director John Nightingale, who organises the event. “Given next year is our 30th Symposium, we think, dare I say, a “posher” gala dinner will suit the occasion very well and mark our celebration in style.”
JCT have also had a number of applications to present at next year’s Symposium, so would-be speakers should propose a paper by clicking here. As well as getting to present at such a learned event, speakers also qualify for a free day delegate pass and a heavily discounted second day.
All of 2024’s papers, with the exception of a closed session on transport security, were recorded and the individual papers will be made available on JCT’s YouTube Channel through November and December. These videos are possible thanks to the support of 4way Consulting, AGD Systems, PTV Group, Sensys Networks, smartmicro, Starling Technologies and TRL. You can find out about all these companies’ participation here.
