Retexuring and surface coatings specialists, JMS Lincoln, has launched the Cyclone High Pressure Water Retexturing process in the UK,
Along with the well established captive shot blasting process, the new system will allow JMS to offer processes that improve both micro and macro texture on all surface types containing natural aggregate.
Whilst the shot blasting process retextures polished aggregate to improve micro texture, the Cyclone system removes excess bitumen to improve texture depth, particularly on fatty surface dressings and can remove bitumen from the face of newly laid surfaces, such as thin surfacing type materials. It can also be used to remove road markings using variable width heads.
The Cyclone is a self-contained bitumen removal process, resulting in an immediate improvement in macro texture. The system is capable of removing up to 4,000sqm of excess bitumen in 6 hours, using just 8,000 litres of water.
