The Local Council Roads Innovation Group, LCRIG, has announced last week’s Strictly Highways reached a new milestone, with a record-breaking attendance from across both the public and private sectors.
It says the ‘Strictly magic’ was truly alive throughout the three-day event, bringing together around 470 delegates the whole highways community, including councils, the Department for Transport, academia, industry associations, the supply chain, and media.
The event provided a unique platform for sharing insights into the latest innovations and technologies, exchanging experiences and ideas, receiving updates from the DfT, and shining a spotlight on the highways and transport technology sector.
The carefully crafted agenda was centred around four core themes, which guided discussions and presentations throughout including collaboration, innovation, skills, adaptation and decarbonisation.
Charlotte Bromley, Events Manager at LCRIG, expressed her pride at the positive feedback received: “Strictly Highways is such a special and unique event, and we are incredibly proud of it. Since our very first event in 2018, organised from the dining room table, we have worked to retain that ‘Strictly magic,’ and our attendees consistently tell us that this event stands apart from other industry events. From carefully curating a thought-provoking and engaging agenda, to organising hotel accommodation, buses and trams, and meticulously planning the seating arrangements for the DfT Special Recognition awards, there’s nothing else quite like Strictly Highways. We’re extremely proud of everything that the event has accomplished.”
