Drivers in Lincolnshire are being warned that an increased number of police are being deployed to focus on speeding on the county’s roads.
The county’s police force says its using marked and unmarked cars and bikes carrying out speed checks as part of a campaign using both mobile and fixed safety cameras.
They say this is deliberately timed as travel restrictions start to ease, to keep people safe as the volume of traffic increases.
Superintendent Paul Timmins, Head of Specialist Operations, Lincolnshire Police, said this isn’t purely about enforcement but educating drivers and “to support other road users, in particular pedal cyclists, horse riders, pedestrians and new drivers, to keep safe on the roads.”
