Lifeboats were dispatched following concerns of the welfare of a man on the QE2 Bridge on Tuesday.
Motorists were warned to expect three hour delays following the incident and all traffic was halted on the Dartford Bridge at around 6am, Essex Live reported. Essex Police aas RNLI lifeboats were dispatched. National Highways uged motorists not to travel in the area and warned of “severe” three hour delays.
