The planned start of works on the A5036 Park Lane junction upgrade in Sefton, Merseyside, originally scheduled for Saturday 8 November, has been postponed. The decision follows feedback received during recent engagement with stakeholders and relates to the potential impact of our work on wider improvement projects in the area.
National Highways says it is currently working through the detail with affected stakeholders to ensure the scheme is delivered in a way that minimises disruption to drivers and the local community.
The agency remain fully committed to delivering the scheme, it says, which will improve safety and accessibility at this busy junction. The intention is to start work in the coming weeks. In the meantime, National Highways will continue working closely with stakeholders to refine its plans and ensure the scheme meets the needs of all those who use and rely on this route.
