National Highways nears completion of M25 J28 improvements

National Highways has said that its M25 junction 28 scheme in Essex is nearing completion, with finishing touches being applied before the end of the summer.

Before then agency is ‘tie-ing in’ the dedicated loop road between the M25 anticlockwise and the A12 eastbound with the mainline M25. To do this while still avoiding full weekend closures of the M25 the team will be working under a lane closure programme during the day, and full closures at night.

The M25 anti-clockwise carriageway between Junctions 29 and 28 will be closed each night (10pm to 5.30am) until Sunday 27 July. During the nightly closures a diversion route will be in place via the A127, A1245, A130, A12 junction 17 to 11 and rejoining the M25 at junction 28.

Additionally, a lane will be closed on the M25 mainline travelling anticlockwise at junction 28, during the day and night from 5:30am Tuesday 15 July until 5:30am Sunday 27 July.
