Nota AI Achieves Highest Rating in Smart Intersection Performance Assessment

Nota AI, a South Korean company specialising in AI optimisation and on-device generative AI solutions, has earned the highest rating from the country’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) for its Intelligent Transportation System solution.

This evaluation measures traffic volume by direction, vehicle classification, and queue traffic volume. Nota AI’s system achieved an impressive 99.9% accuracy across all evaluation categories, exceeding the 95% benchmark required for the highest rating. The company says this result highlights the precision of its AI technology in real-world traffic management.

Nota AI’s ITS solution, optimised for integration with CCTV infrastructure, processes real-time traffic data such as traffic flow, vehicle speed, and congestion levels. The system has significantly improved traffic control and reduced congestion, even in challenging weather conditions. It is deployed at over 200 intersections across major South Korean cities, including Daejeon, Jeju, and Pyeongtaek, transforming urban transportation networks.

In addition to its success in South Korea, Nota AI is gaining international attention. The company is in discussions with various organisations to secure significant business contracts in the United States, the Middle East, and Vietnam. Partnering with ATS and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the company aims to address traffic congestion in Dubai using AI-driven solutions to enhance traffic management and improve road infrastructure efficiency.

“This achievement demonstrates our leading-edge AI optimization capabilities and reinforces our commitment to transforming urban mobility,” said Myungsu Chae, CEO of Nota AI. “We are excited to continue expanding our ITS solutions in both public transportation infrastructure and global markets.”

Nota AI’s success in South Korea and international ventures positions it as a leader in AI-powered traffic solutions, with a planned IPO listing in 2025.
