Suppliers and contractors in and around North Yorkshire are being invited to to join NY Highways’ Dynamic Purchasing System.
The system will cover a comprehensive range of services and products related to highways maintenance activities and will streamline supply chain and procurement processes. NY Highways says it will open the door to suppliers of all sizes to contribute to its work in maintaining 5,800 miles of roads in North Yorkshire.
Examples of types of highways maintenance supplier or business NY Highways want to include on their DPS includes; civils, surfacing, surveys, traffic management, plant hire, street furniture, and more.
Nick Burgess, Buying Manager at NY Highways, said: “This type of DPS will be a first for NY Highways, and possibly the industry. We want to engage with a range of suppliers, including local businesses, who can help us maintain and improve the highways infrastructure in the area.
“We believe this DPS will enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and build stronger partnerships within North Yorkshire’s highways maintenance sector.”
