As is traditional at the ITS World Congress opening ceremony, three people have been inducted into the ITS Hall of Fame, and for the first time two of them have come from the same organisation.

The driverless pod company Ohmio’s Chairman Mohammed Hikmet was given the Asia-Pacific region award, while Director Europe Robert Sykora was recognised in the EMEA region (pictured with ERTICO Chairman Dr Angelos Amditis).

The US region went to Russell McMurray, Commissioner of Georgia DOT.

Previous UK recipients are: Professor Eric Sampson CBE, Professor Phil Blythe CBE, Jennie Martin MBE and the late Richard Harris, who also spent the latter part of his career with Ohmio.
