PTV Group, part of the global brand Umovity, is launching an industry-first cloud-based collaborative modelling platform for mobility planning, design, and optimisation.
PTV Hub is a Software as a Service solution connecting PTV’s desktop software with web-based functionalities, which the company says enhances productivity, accessibility, and team collaboration.
PTV Hub serves as a central hub to organise projects, manage licenses and compute models in the cloud. It enables users to upload and download models from desktop software to cloud storage, streamlining workflows. PTV Hub’s Models app allows users to track and manage models, scenarios, revisions, and results, making them easily accessible to both internal and external teams. With cloud-based computing, resource-intensive tasks can run concurrently, freeing up desktop licenses and improving efficiency.
The platform’s Dashboard app provides a virtual environment for project insights and analytics. Customisable dashboards turn data into actionable insights, enabling users to visualise results, compare models, and present simulations with personalised maps, charts, and animations. PTV says this not only improves teamwork but also provides compelling visuals for stakeholders and the public.
PTV Hub also features a License app that simplifies license management, delivery, and updates. System administrators can view license statuses, manage subscriptions, and control user access through an intuitive interface. Additionally, a Workspace app is in development, which will further enhance productivity by offering a structured, collaborative environment for transport modelling project management.
“The launch of PTV Hub marks a significant milestone for us,” said Christian U Haas, CEO of PTV Group. “It’s the first true cloud-based collaborative modeling platform in the market, and a key component of our Dynamic Multimodal Network Management concept—a revolutionary system for cities to plan, manage, and operate multimodal transportation networks. Our vision is to empower cities to seamlessly integrate public transit, walking, cycling, shared mobility services, and, in the future, connected and autonomous vehicles.”
PTV Hub is available for the latest versions of PTV Visum, PTV Vissim, PTV Vistro, and PTV Viswalk.
The company is hosting LinkedIn Live sessions introducing the new platform on 14 November 8am and 3pm. For more details, visit the PTV Hub website or explore these videos.
