The transport modelling company PTV Group is publicising new features for its macroscopic simulation tool PTV Visum.
The company, which is part of Umovity, says it’s “ready to revolutionise your transport modelling.”
PTV Visum allows users to shape an entire mobility system, simulate numerous projects and scenarios. Its new release brings numerous new features, including:
Automated public transport network design, using an advanced algorithm that optimises service based on demand and infrastructure, advanced emissions calculation (COPERT Method) to accurately evaluate the environmental impact of transportation models and assess decarbonization effects and air quality improvements according to EU guidelines; and ABM time choice and balancing to improve model results around time-of-day, destination, and mode choices can be reordered, skipped, or fixed.
