Renfrewshire Council has appointed a head of climate, public protection and roads.

Gerard Hannah, the local authority’s infrastructure, transportation and change manager, will take on the role, it has been confirmed.

Gordon McNeil, director of environment, housing and infrastructure at the council, informed elected members of the development last week.

“I am delighted to advise you that Gerard Hannah has been appointed as head of climate, public protection and roads following the conclusion of the recruitment process this morning,” he told councillors in an email last Tuesday.

“Gerry is a very experienced senior officer in the council who members will work with regularly. I am sure you will join me in congratulating Gerry, and wishing him every success as he takes on his new role.”
