National Highways is resurfacing a stretch of the A174 near Middlesbrough.
The A174 eastbound, between its junctions with the A19 and the B1365 Blue Bell Interchange will undergo the improvements from Sunday 2 July.
National Highways Project Manager Michael Morgan said: “Drivers will notice considerable improvements with smoother and safer journeys once this work has finished.”
To carry out this work safely, this section of road will be closed overnight, every night between 8pm and 6am the following morning. These closures are due to be in place over 10 nights, except for the night of Saturday 8 July.
A day-time 50mph speed limit will be in place while traffic is running on temporary surfaces. Fully signed overnight diversion routes will be in place while resurfacing is carried out.
