A road maintenance worker has died after a multi-vehicle crash on the A30 in Cornwall.
Police said the man in his 50s was from one of two highways maintenance vehicles involved in a crash with a heavy goods vehicle on the west-bound carriageway near Launceston at about 07:30 GMT on Sunday.
The HGV driver, a 51-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, Devon and Cornwall Police said, reports the BBC.
Another roadworker was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the force added.
Police said the family of the man who died in hospital was being supported by specialist officers.
The A30 was closed for a number of hours while an investigation and recovery work took place.
