A series of safety improvements are being introduced on a road in Nottingham which has seen a number of fatal collisions.
The Nottingham Post reports a £2.5 million scheme on Derby Road in the Lenton area of the city involves adding three Toucan crossings, widening central refuges and putting in average speed cameras.
Nottingham was the site of the country’s first average speed scheme 20 years ago.
The works are expected to finish at the end of March.
