Heavy rain in some parts of the country for the past two days has led to flooding across the West Midlands and other parts of the country.
A yellow weather warning for rain and 36 flood warnings are in place across the region, as well as a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering Shropshire and Staffordshire, reports the BBC.
Many schools have closed due to the weather conditions, with Staffordshire most affected at 25 closures, external.
The conditions have also led to road closures and rail disruption.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said its teams were taking a high number of calls involving vehicles in flood water.
Among the roads being shut was the A449 southbound near Worcester.
The A53 at Gravelly Hill, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, was impassable due to snow, according to travel service INRIX.
Flooding has also meant the A522 was impassable in both directions near Upper Tean in Staffordshire.
In Herefordshire, the A49 was closed in both directions due to flooding between A44 Mill Street in Leominster and the A4112 in Stockton.
The A44 Evesham Road in Worcestershire was impassable due to flooding between Fladbury Hill, Fladbury and Chadbury Road, Chadbury.
Roads have also been flooded in Derbyshire and Hampshire.
