Detection and analysis company Starling Technologies has been announced as an approved supplier on the G-Cloud 14 framework.
Intended to provide the public sector with easy access to cloud services, this will simplify the procurement of Starling’s leading edge technology by local authorities across the UK.
Starling’s intelligent transport system detects all types of road vehicles, other transport modes and pedestrians and, using AI driven analysis to predict behaviour, instructs the signal controller in real-time. A bus is running late? Starling identifies this and can give it priority at the signals to avoid delay. Children are crowding the pavements outside a busy school? Starling detects the risk and can prioritise the pedestrian crossing so the children can cross safely.
Working with a number of local authorities, who are leading the charge in the adoption of intelligent transport systems, Starling CEO, Andrew Calaya Chetty acknowledges the positive impact this approved supplier status will have. “We’re delighted to be part of the G-Cloud framework” says Andrew. “Our technology is having a meaningful impact on safety, efficiency and sustainability across transport networks in the UK and we’re keen to make it as easy as possible for our public sector customers to get up and running. This is great news and testament to the hard work and commitment of the Starling team.”
