British automated enforcement processing company StarTraq has been awarded a contract by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior to provide its browser-based solution, DOME, to consolidate the review of traffic camera evidence in one solution.
Working with KTC International, StarTraq will deliver its solution replacing the multiple back-office software solutions used to process traffic offences. Up till now, the processing centre in Doha has had different solutions for each different camera manufacturer, making automation and global reporting complex and time-consuming.
StarTraq and KTC say the DOME software is an important investment as it will integrate with all leading speed camera manufacturers to offer one software suite to review all the evidence regardless of the source. The software, which will be delivered in Arabic, will use smart ‘Licence Plate Recognition’ technology combined with customisable workflow rules to automatically verify evidence packs, where possible, without the need for human review.
The project is due to go live in by the summer of 2021.
